BR2-10:A girl named Helen Keller

She understood that “water” was a word. (P32)

Do you know Helen Keller? I think you have heard this name. When she was a baby, she became ill. Day after day her fever was high. The baby may not live, the doctor said but she lived. However, the child was deaf and blind. If you deaf and blind, how do you spend your life? Do you study anything? Helen Keller did not know any language. She did not know he parents’ face. Helen began to grow too wild. She often became angry. Her parents went to Washington, D.C., to visit the famous doctor. Dr. Bell said Helen can learn. She met Anne Sullivan, her teacher. Miss. Sullivan teaches her a special alphabet of hand signed. Helen copied her teacher but she did not understand. Miss. Sullivan spoke to her. Helen began to like her and began to understand words. She understood “water” and any other words. It was amazing. Many years past, they stayed together until teacher died. Helen wrote five books in her life. She was a warm, carming person. People love her forever. When I read this book, I was touching. I read one about ten years ago, but I never forget this story. Helen and Miss. Sullivan promoted bonding. If you not have read the book, you have to read it. I recommended you.
